Since my blog has been running for a while now, I think it's time to evaluate what I'm doing well. Please vote on the poll (top left). I want to know what aspects you don't like - if not listed pls comment. If you do like everything please still do vote on the appropriate option ('I like everything').
Thanks and till the next post.

El Arte de Warhammer 40.000
Hi guys!
Just giving a shout out for Kiski's blog, I don't understand much Spanish but his scratch-building is simply amazing. I have been lurking around it for a little while now ;). At the moment he is building a reaver titan, and it is so AWESOME that there are no other words for it. So go check his blog out!

Taking the tanks for a Stroll...
I can't remember how many points this was, but it was Imperial Guard vs Salamanders. Dawn of war and seize ground.
3 Objectives, he went first or maybe I made him go first I can't remember. I purposefully placed mine in the open as Ilya is always wary of leaving cover (even with marines).

Mini-Tournament
Okay, I know this happened AGES ago but I finally managed to get it posted up.
Game 1 I was up against Artemy using Ilya's salamanders.
Table quarters : Annihalation
I had a lot of general stuff, both those squads are normal guard - it was friendly so I was allowed to take just 1 troop :D
He castled up in one corner which was not v. clever of him especially since I promptly seized the initiative
I spread out and got ready to attack.
I did some damage but my tanks got under heavy fire.
Couldnt take down that land speede :(
I'm loving my new tanks, they killed tons of marines - large blast markers ftw.
In the end he won 5-3 because of some unlucky rolls on my part - for example my psyker killed himself in perils of the warp instead of killing his commander and I couldnt kill his land speeder.
Game 2 : Ilya's Eldar
Capture and Control : Table Quarters
I seize the initiative - again!!!
A few blasts and movement and I was controlling the field and contesting his objective
While having my objective in firm control
Ended the game 1-0, Artemy won the tournament having won all his matches

Apocalypse battle: Eldar and Orks vs Imperium
SO here it is after being long promised. What I'll do is take you through the pics and a add a little story to it. My secret mission was to have a unit in each building :( - might have to change that cos it's a bit difficult. Oh and it was a 5,750 point battle. My list was so long that I just can't be bothered to write everything I included here, sorry folks. You can also see this as the end to our R2G campaign. Also blogger has been playing up so it all got kinda jumbled :(.
The battered 301st Cadian regiment had been fighting to keep control of the planet for many years now, and their ranks had been thinned down to a under-armed and under-equipped platoon with just three leman russes left of their numerous tank companies and a hellhound.
Not to worry, for warriors of the Salamanders legion and the mighty Ultramarines had arrived to join the fray. Unfortunately the Blood angels sent to reinforce the defence of the last hive city (read: I ran out of points :( ).
Fortunately for the Imperium a defense line was hastily constructed, for otherwise nothing would have stopped the combined power of the THREE opposing super-heavies. Somehow by chance a hellhammer was brought out of servicing by the adeptus mechanicus and was there to join the battle-line.
The tide of Orks surged forward, as aspect warriors nimbly skipped around them and dropped out of the skies. A barrage commenced, throwing astartes bodies and tanks into the air along the Imperial defense line. The Imperium, stalwart as a rock responded by sending forth the two land raiders and calling in an orbital bombardment, killing a few squads of dire avengers and damaging the Skullhamma.
The battle-line fired, causing damage here and there, but all the while fervently praying to survive the next turn.
Once again the ork warcry was taken up and a stompa destroyed the hellhammer, but it could have been much worse if not for the defense line :)
Imperial reserves finally rumbled on blasting away and seriously damaging the Stompa (taking away 3 out of 4 structure points). Along the battle-line rag-tag counter-attacks were made and a few more astartes dropped out of the sky amongst the enemy lines.
The orks and eldar kept coming, but began losing their control of the field, with many of their super-heavies damaged in some way or another.
Imperial forces swept forward stealing objectives from under xenos noses with the game ending 1-1. Then Paul revealed completion of his secret objective - destroying a super-heavy. Player X (my team) rolled on their secret objective (sacred ground) but failed to get a 5+, leaving the xenos with a minor victory.
The tides of orks had overrun the last defense before the hive but the Imperium's efforts may have stalled their advance enough to survive the defense of the last hive city.
There were more pics but I cant find them for some reason... which is strange cos I take a few of my vanquisher aiming at the stomping for example, and others ...

Paul's Blood Angels stomraven WIP 1
SO here is the first of the series of posts. We only painted the interior so far but Paul is making steady progress on it. It was painted pretty simply: Painted boltgun metal, washed badab black, washed ogryn flesh (didnt have any devlan mud for some reason :( ), picked out with boltgun metal to reduce runny wash marks, drybrushed mithril silver.
Panels and shiny screens painted hormagaunt purple, mordian blue, ultramarine blue highlight, then very watery ice blue over the top leaving some darker colour in the middle.
Seats painted scorched brown followed by snakebite leather highlight. A tip I would suggest is not assembling anything before painting the inside as even with these small constructions it was difficult to reach inside.
More posts coming up as promised.

Leman Russ - Variant? Whichever you want...
Hi again,
I've finished working on another Leman Russ. I have done something similar to my rhino/razorback in the fact that all the options in the box can be put on it and without magnets - if anyone wants to know the exact way to do this just leave a comment and I may even post up a tutorial as I am making another one.
Here it is shown with the Vanquisher variant, lascannon and multi-meltas...
Enjoy :D
Oh and btw Paul is working on his Storm Raven, so watch for an update and there's also that apocalypse battle coming up... And another thing is this which I found when finding out about how to paint the searchlight.

I've been working on my tanks :D and here are the pictures... And thanks to COTBT from 8th Armaggeddon Steel Legion for actually replying to my post on a colour scheme and you all should go check out his blog with his super awesome Imperial Guard.

Secret Objectives for Apocalypse
I've been thinking up some secret objectives for an upcoming game of apocalypse, just thought I'd share them here:
Secret Objective - VIP Target 1 pt
There is an important enemy commander on the battlefield, you must eradicate him in order to destroy the opposition’s morale and prevent further resistance…
Kill the enemy commander worth the most points
Secret Objective – Destruction of Enemy Personnel 1 pt
Destroying the enemy’s ability to consolidate ground is more important than capturing objectives, we must crush all forces capable of holding our objectives…
Destroy (or force to flee) all enemy troops choices
Secret Objective – SuperHeavies 1 pt
Powerful enemy forces have been harrying us since the outbreak of war, we must begin destroying their God-Machines and cripple their attacking their attacking power…
Destroy an enemy SuperHeavy
Secret Objective – Control the Field 1 pt
Controlling the battlefield is the way to win battles, your mission is to have unit in each strategic point on the battlefield, with commanding views to allow our forces to rain death on our enemies…
Have a unit in each building on the battlefield
Secret Objective – Maneuverability 1 pt
Maneuverability is the key to war, we must destroy all enemy vehicles and stop them from being able to move onto the next location which will give us time to later encircle and destroy our foes once and for all…
Destroy all enemy vehicles
Secret Objective – Holy Ground 1 pt
Ancient Relics are often found on mighty battlefields, could we be lucky enough to be standing on holy ground? Look around carefully, some of the things we are fighting for may be more important than they seem…
At the end of the game roll a die for each objective your side controls, on a 5 you have found a hidden relic of our peoples and taken it away to safety.
Secret Objective – Newbie 1 pt
A new warrior called ‘Bob’ has joined your forces, it is your duty to ensure he survives his first engagement – good luck…
Nominate one model in a standard troop unit (write it down on paper). He is called ‘Bob’, who has been newly recruited into the army, he must survive this battle.
