Salamanders Tanks

I have a very special treat for you guys today: Ilya's tanks, in anticipation of Saturday's planned game (although originally he was going to field eldar). Here is a sneak peak of some of the forces that might be included:

Ilya loves (or used to b4 5th edition) land raiders.

He would always put a bunch of them inside even before the place called 3++ , ever told us all to do that, I thought his tactics were stupid though at the time.

He does not use this combo any more though in the same way that he's only lately begun to use more than 2 troops...

And his awesome baneblade!!!

Maybe we'll have apoc on saturday???

The only problem is that the Ultramarines sign is not so bold as I had initially hoped, don't use white + silver if you want them to stand out is the lesson from this!

Army List competition

 1468 pts- so there's room for tailoring 

 How I see it is the stealth suits infiltrating (possibly with kroot), fire base set up at the back (hammerheads and broadsides) and also set up pathfinders in their fish in place with good line of sight-more on that later. A space marine column coming in or any other army of course, transports are quickly shot down so they try to footslog it into assault with the closest target (stealth suits) and then everything pounces on them from all sides- outflanking deep striking etc... This is where the pathfinders come in. They not only markerlighht but also reroll deep strikes that are in their line of sight, something I haven't seen anyone do yet. Now some of you are probably wondering at the vespids, but to pop in and kill a few marines, ESP devastators/long fangs their gr8, strike where the enemy is least expecting!

Snipers Vote Results!

So according you guys I've been wrong this time, as the results show:

75% of you voted that snipers were decent, if you want to find more out about why, go to this post. Summing it up, they don't often hit esp for IG, unless in a vet squad, and are only good against stuff like marines.

50% for look cool. Yep, I'd say it's generally agreed that most snipers look pretty awesome.

40K Matrix List and Terrain ideas

Having found Fritz's matrix chart online, I put it to use on my thought up force. You can see it below. In my opinion my list turned out pretty nicely. What do you guys think. And if you haven't already voted on the snipers poll please do.
