I've finally completely finished the skullhama - it didn't take very long, I just kinda rushed into the projects and now about 1 and a half weeks later and it's done. I'm quite proud of it and I think it should feature in a planned apocalypse battle ahead. It has also given me some hope that I can actually finish the titan (maybe?). Also going on in the background is some tau work.

Skullhama Painting Progress: Have some grime...
I'm back again with a small update. I've added the rustiness to the Skullhama, looking pretty nice, eh? And then some bad(ish) news - my warhammer stockist here (in russia), has no devlan mud... so I tried using some purple wash and I think it turned well enough - not so dark but it should do. The rust was just drybrushing blazing orange over stuff (not what I originally planned actually - was gonna highlight red with it). Have a look at the pipes at the back, they turned out well.

Skullhama Battlefortress Painting in Progress
I've put on the base colour red (and a lot of it!). I've also dirtied the tank up with boltgun metal and was going to wash the lot with devlan mud when I realised that I don't have any (urrggghh) so tomorrow I'll probably be off to my retailer so that I have some (:D). The next stages include: weathering the metalics, drybrushing a lighter/brighter red, painting the crew and painting the tracks and underside. So here it is so far:
Skullhama (Completely) Built
It turns out that I hadn't only added all the greenskin crew but also add a corrugated iron layer to make the top of the tank look more realistic. Also note the human head hanging from the bosspole. Oh and I added a load of bullet holes and signs, to add to the orkiness. Now I'll be off to undercoat and basecoat this thing, so here are some pics for you to enjoy.

Skullhama Battle Fortress Built
I found this shadowsword lying around half made. I think I originally attached the tracks wrong or something so I gave up. But now I have orkified it for Paul - so it will feature in hopefully the apocalypse games to be played in the next to weeks.
If you remember Ilya's salamanders -they will definitely be making a splendid return to this blog and also a new tau player.
And of course Paul's orks, my ultramarines and tau or Cadians - haven't decided yet.
